Formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1977, INXS grew from a scrappy pub-rock outfit into one of the most successful bands of the 1980s and early '90s, blending new wave, funk, and rock into a globally beloved sound that produced anthems like "Need You Tonight" and "Never Tear Us Apart" and sold tens of millions of records worldwide.
