Amazing Industries to produce XS Michael Hutchence biopicThe UK production company Amazing Industries are proud to announce that it has secured the movie rights to produce a biographical rock epic, based on “Just A Man” the official family biography of INXS front man Michael Hutchence. The film will be titled XS; The story of Michael Hutchence. It will be based on the biography “Just a Man” written by Michael’s very own sister and mother, Tina Hutchence and Patricia Glassop. The film will tell the Michael Hutchence story from INXS worldwide rise to fame in the 80's, to Michael’s sad and untimely death alone in a Sydney hotel room in 1997. London based Amazing Industries with the support and blessing of Michael’s family and with the director Asa Bailey are all now in a deep development stage, commissioning screen writers, consultants, casting directors and production crew on what can only be described as a biopic epic. One that will not only stand out for it’s music and rock entertainment value, but also for its historical and biographical film accuracy.
The book “Just A Man” written by Tina Hutchence and Patricia Glassop was first published by Pan McMillan in 2001. It is by all accounts the only written document of Michael’s life written by the women closest to him; his own big sister and their beloved mother. “It’s quite amazing with all the glamorous girlfriends he had the one photo that sat by his bedside was an old modeling shot of his mother” says Tina.
Now the Hutchence family have entrusted Michael’s life and death story to be told in film by Director Asa Bailey. “This is the first and only true opportunity the world will have to see the full picture of the amazing and diverse man that was Michael Hutchence, talented, sexy, obscure, caring, hedonistic, tortured and much, much more.” says Asa Bailey.
