PART 11 - To Michael In Loving Memory (November 2003)

I miss you every day of my life. My heart physically aches for the time not shared.

As we approach the six year anniversary without you, I feel your spirit close by. I think about you everyday of course but at this time I think back to the pain you must have suffered - in your head. The pain you could not get beyond.

For my own sanity I must be strong for those around me-those you too, loved. I know you would want me to think of the loving, happy times, we shared.

When I go back to the postcards, letters and faxes you sent me over the years, I can sense that you experienced so much of the beauty and wonders of life. You led a privileged life and attained fame at such a young age. So incredible to experience those excesses when you are young. For the most part you handled it well. You showed genuine interest in others around you, a curiosity for others' lives. You honestly used your status to help others less fortunate.

Your letters as well as your lyrics speak for themselves - you were an exceptionally spiritual, caring, loving soul. So tragic for it to spin out of control.

You achieved so much success and it saddens me most that you didn't get to experience the most beautiful, fulfilling accomplishment of ones life - that of raising your child..

I continue to let her know what a beautiful spirit you are.
